ABOUT

BIO:
At the age of 11, against her parents' will, Cathryn opened up the Brooklyn Yellow Pages, took her babysitting money on a bus down Flatbush Ave., and enrolled herself in an acting class. From there she joined an onstage improv group at the age of 13 and went on to NYC's prestigious High School of the Performing Arts.

She established herself as an actress, having had the fortune to work with some of the greatest talents in the business: Richard Benjamin, Tony Bill, Barry Kemp, Alan Parker, Shirley MacLaine, Sean Penn, Phil Rosenthal, John Patrick Shanley and more.

Cathryn and her brothers, Ivan and Andy, grew up in Park Slope, Brooklyn in a brownstone full of eccentric tenants from all around the world. Their parents loved artists and people from other cultures. Their mother, Julia is Russian and father, Nicholas spoke six languages. The house was a constant hub of energy; instruments playing, several languages yelling, typewriters banging, animals quacking, singing, stomping, crying; vibrating throughout the house.

It was a feeding ground for creativity; inspiring Cathryn to become an actress, writer and director, and Ivan, a drummer, composer and director. Their basement is where Ivan’s band, White Zombie was born.
